Resume
About me
My name is Marcin Dabrowski.
I was born in 1992 in Poland where I attended to the Elementary School in Świętochłowice. In 2004 I moved with my family to Italy where after years of living I acquired the Italian citizenship.
I obtained the High School Diploma with specialisation as a Surveyor at the Technical Institute for Surveyors “A. Palladio” Treviso, Italy in 2012.
I graduated from the Università Iuav di Venezia first obtaining the Bachelor's Degree in Architecture Sciences in September 2015 and then the Master’s Degree in Innovation in Architecture cum Laude in October 2019.
My Master’s Degree Thesis entitled "The Lost Heritage" was the winner of the Best Graduation Thesis Award of the year 2019 at Iuav in the sector of Architecture.
The Thesis work was also nominated by the Università Iuav di Venezia to partecipate to the Young Talent Architecture Award 2020 organised by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe in Barcelona
Why I chose to study Architecture
When I was a child, I saw Architecture only as a very technical job.
But then, in my high school, I discovered an architect who really inspired me - Daniel Libeskind.
What inspired me of him was the way of understanding his projects and how this allowed me to open my mind and to have a different perception of the reality.
This is how my passion for Architecture began.
After all Architecture is a process of creation and imagination, so I wanted to become a part of it.
